We are thrilled to extend a special invitation to Dis-Missed, an innovative and thought-provoking performance taking place at the Historic DeLUXE Theater this week.
About the Show:
Dis-Missed is an operatic retelling of the 2024 cultural moment sparked by the musical “beef” between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Rather than a literal replication, the work reimagines this high-profile artistic rivalry as a study in ego, identity, and public discourse. The text draws inspiration from the original materials, while the music is fully improvised, exploring dissonance, power, and lyrical tension in real time. Please note: the performance contains some strong language.
